Sara

Sara specializes in Positive Energy Districts, energy communities, and digital twin applications. She holds an MSc in Architectural Engineering from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AAST) and an MSc in Sustainable Urban Planning and Design from the University of Nottingham. Her academic work includes the development of the DT4PED simulation model, the ECOM4Future Grasshopper toolkit, and the ECOM dashboard, which advance methods for analysing and supporting the design of energy communities. Alongside her technical expertise in simulation and modelling, she contributes to stakeholder participation processes, user interface design for research tools, and project management within EU-funded projects. She has published and presented her work at international conferences, highlighting her role in linking technical research with participatory approaches to sustainable urban transformation.
